The Sacramento County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Superintendents’ Coordinating Council (SCC), is made up of a superintendent  representing each of the SELPA local educational agencies (LEAs). The SCC is the Executive Decision Making Body of the SELPA and establishes operational procedures and makes decisions on matters regarding the administration and operation of special education programs and services.

The SCC typically meets on a quarterly basis to learn about and discuss current Sacramento County SELPA issues, including financial matters.

Sacramento County SELPA’s Community Advisory Committee is a group formed to advise the SELPA about the Special Education Local Plan, annual priorities, parent education, and other special education related activities. The CAC is designed to be an interactive and collaborative partnership of educators, parents, and community members.

 

The CAC builds relationships between schools, families, and related agencies. We encourage community and parental involvement, and we support activities on behalf of individuals with exceptional needs. We provide families with an opportunity to share resources and support. Please feel free to join any of our meetings.  

Hybrid meetings are both in-person at SCOE and via Zoom. Please RSVP at agraff@scoe.net if you plan on attending in-person. SCOE’s address: 10474 Mather Blvd., Mather CA 95655
