Supporting Special Education programs and services throughout the Sacramento region
A Commitment to Serve
The goal of the Sacramento County SELPA is to ensure the delivery of high quality special education programs and services to students with disabilities in the districts our SELPA serves: Arcohe SD, Center Joint Unified SD, Elverta SD, Natomas Charter School, Galt Joint Union Elementary SD, Galt Joint Union High SD, Robla SD, River Delta Unified SD, and SCOE special education programs.
To support our students with special needs and their families, SELPA facilitates the development and operation of high quality educational programs and services for students with special needs and training for parents and educators. Additionally, SELPA collaborates with county agencies and LEAs to develop and maintain healthy and enriching environments in which students with special needs can succeed.
Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
What does the CAC do?
The CAC builds relationships between schools, families, and related agencies. We encourage community and parental involvement, and we support activities on behalf of individuals with exceptional needs. We provide families with an opportunity to share resources and support. Learn more on the CAC page.
What is CAC?
Sacramento County SELPA’s Community Advisory Committee is a group formed to advise the SELPA about the Special Education Local Plan, annual priorities, parent education, and other special education related activities. The CAC is designed to be an interactive and collaborative partnership of educators, parents, and community members.
“Diversity is a fact. Equity is a choice. Inclusion is an action. Belonging is an outcome.”
